HAPPY 1ST BIRTHDAY COLTON!!!It's true when parents say that time goes by so quickly. Looking back on this past year, so much has happened and yet, still time flies.
Today you're one year old. In short, this make my heart (and Daddy's heart too) happy!
One year ago we were going through the toughest time of our lives as we watched you hooked to machines in the NICU at Saint Joseph Medical Center after you were born two months prematurely. While today brings back these unsettling feelings, everything that's happened since we brought you home from the hospital completely overrides those feelings and makes me recognize how extremely happy and proud we are of you.
You have grown to be one of the happiest babies I've ever known and you are truly a very special, smart and, of course handsome, little boy. Daddy and I couldn't be more proud of you. You bring so much joy to our home every day and you are truly our little blessing.
To celebrate your first birthday, Daddy and I invited all of your close family to Papi and Jibby's house for a football party (since you were born on SuperBowl weekend). Your grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends of our family came to celebrate YOU! We had such a great time and loved playing with all your cousins.
Happy Birthday Buddy! We love you so much!
