Dear Hayden Rae,
It seems like just yesterday we were bringing you home from the hospital to meet your big brother, Colton. This year has been such a blur, but what a great and amazingly beautiful blur it's been. YOU have completed our family. YOU have made our lives so much brighter and happier. YOU are perfectly YOU and we love you so very much.
Now, at 12 months old, you are eagerly waiting to run around with your brother...but your 'speed crawling' is keeping up with him just fine in the meantime. You were eager to drink whole milk and the switch from formula to milk was seamless. You're quickly becoming your own beautiful person who loves to play with your brother but also enjoys quiet time by yourself.
You've become an amazing sleeper (fingers crossed it stays that way7p-7a) and you have quickly adjusted to eating with a fork and spoon just like Colton. While Mommy would love for you and Colton to have the same exact likes and dislikes in food (that would make mealtimes so much easier for Mommy) I completely understand you are two separate people who are very different. And I wouldn't want it any other way. :) You love yogurt, applesauce and graham crackers. You LOVE graham crackers!!!
You're not thrilled about eating meat of any kind. Mommy makes you homemade applesauce and pureed spinach and sweet potatoes...and you love to eat it all with a spoon! You love bath time with Colton and dancing during our family dance parties. Most recently we all love to dance to Uptown Funk by Bruno Mars that is a video by Kidz Bop. We all dance around the living room and laugh before bedtime.
You are saying the words "Daddy" and "Doggy"...although they both sound the same sometimes. Oh, and you love your pacifier! Mommy doesn't particularly like your pacifier but it's OK for now.
