8 months old

dear colton,

you are getting so big, so quickly! Daddy and I absolutely love to see you grow, but time is going by so fast … we're cherishing all these 'baby moments' with you because pretty soon you won't be a 'baby' anymore. this month you hit two huge milestones: sitting up by yourself and you have 3, yes I said, 3 teeth!

You are now sitting on your playmate by yourself and playing with your toys like a big boy. Your smile gets bigger and brighter by the day and you love to be tickled. You're starting to want to move around on your own, moving in circles when you're on your belly playing, but not yet ready to move forward and backward.

When your teeth came in you didn't seem to feel too well for a couple days. You didn't get a fever but just seemed cranky like your gums were hurting you. It didn't last long though.

And another HUGE moment this month: you were baptized and welcomed God into your life. It was such a special day for our family because your cousin Caroline was baptized with you at the same time.  You were baptized at Great Grandmom Nan's church where she and your late Great Grandfather went to church together since 1969. It was such a special day.

because it made you look like a chef. Well, a very handsome chef!
