hayden rae: 9 months old

Dear Hayden Rae,

So much has happened this month: you got your helmet off (yeah!), you, Colton, Mommy and Daddy all dressed up as the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse for your first Halloween (you were a beautiful Minnie Mouse), and you started to crawl!

This may just be your best month yet!

Your personality is really starting to shine through...and it's evident that you are 100% a Daddy's Girl! You absolutely love your Daddy. When he leaves a room you cry, and then he re-enters, and the world is a better place. It's adorable.

You love bath time with your brother. You are sitting in a bath seat while he gets to play with the toys around you...you're very eager to join him in playing in the bathtub outside of your restricting seat. Just a few more weeks baby girl.

You continue to want to stay up practically all day long...it's almost like you don't want to miss anything by napping. I almost have to force you to take two naps a day, and when you do, each nap isn't more than 20-30 minutes. At night, your Daddy and I continue to take turns waking up with you between 1a and 4a to give you a bottle and rock you back to sleep. We love our middle of the night one-on-one time, but we're ready for everyone to sleep through the night. Sleep is good. Mommy and Daddy would LOVE to sleep through the night sometime very soon. (hint, hint)

Your helmet is officially off and we are so happy to see your face and cuddle up close with you without the helmet on. You seem a lot more comfortable while sleeping. Thank goodness all is well with your head...the helmet, while uncomfortable I'm sure, worked wonders and your head is gorgeous and perfectly round!

You quickly taught yourself how to crawl and are moving and grooving after your brother all the time.

You and your brother also started swim lessons for the very first time. You are both in the same class so we go as a family and Mommy and Daddy take turns swimming with each of you. You seem to love the water. It almost seems to thoroughly relax you...especially when you are floating on your back. You do a great job of picking up the duckies and putting them in the basket while we float around the pool.

Here are some fun pictures to commemorate your 9th month. We love you baby girl!
