dear colton,
you said your first word..."DADDY!" Every day when Daddy leaves for work you watch him as he drives away. and when he comes home you stand at the railing waiting with a huge smile on your face for him to walk through the door. In mid-July you watched him get into the car and started saying "Daddy" while sitting in Mommy's lap in the chair. I couldn't help but get it on video!
i told your daddy the other day, you truly are a special little boy. your smile has taken on a life of its own and your laugh will make anyone smile. your are always happy and your attitude, even at this young age, is just so positive and happy. (i probably wrote this same thing in your 16 month old blog post). I just can't get over what a joy you are all the time.
You are growing up so fast!
In late June you started your first day at The Goddard School. It took you a few weeks to adjust but now you thoroughly enjoy going to school Monday, Wednesday and Fridays and the teachers adore you and say you are just so happy all the time!!
We've been having a fun time this summer playing outside a lot, going swimming in our baby pool in the back yard and you also enjoy climbing into your water table when Mommy isn't looking! We went canoeing for the first time with Granddad and B-Nana and have shared some fun times at the pool at Jibby and Papi's house with cousin Caroline and Uncle Bryan and Aunt Shannon. AND...you're going to have a new little boy cousin come early November. We're sooooo excited for them!!!
You and Daddy have been watching the Red Sox some...but they're not doing very well this season so we're keeping our fingers crossed for next season. We can't wait to take you and Hayden to Boston for your first Red Sox game!
We also went to the beach and you loved playing in the sand and the water with your cousin Caroline (pictures to be posted in separate blog post). And you went on a jet ski ride and on the rides at Jolly Roger. We are having so much fun with you this summer!
